They're all good eating because they get to fatten up when the farmer chops the corn in the 30 acre field just up the hill from me.

- Other Heating: Wishing it was cold enough for coal here....not really
My old business partner has spent 3 weeks in camp in Whiting, Maine. My brother has been there for some, but he went to Anticosti Island for a 4 day hunt....they have coyotes howling around the camp every night....no deer, no tracks. This is out in the woods, not in town. This is why the newer generation hunts in town, from a truck.

Here it is a local town that CWD took over. Homeowners feeding the deer, grouping them up Im sure. But even with all the extra seasons to combat the disease there are too many deer here. Some people hunt from roads here, some in blinds, but I think most walk or sit in the woods as there is a lot of state land here, and shooting off into a farmers field can get you in some trouble here if they dont know you, hunting from roads that is.
Muzzleloading used to be fun until they changed the laws allowing anyone to hunt in that season even if they hunt other seasons, a money grab that ruined it as far as Im concerned. Every trophy hunter in the state comes to my area muzzleloading as there are more deer and big bucks. If they ever made a traditional black powder hunt season I may go again but thats unlikely. I have a flintlock Ive never hunted with beside percussion. i dont own modern muzzleloaders at all except one shotgun.

I like them done that way instead of full head mount. On a dark wall it would almost glow and you can sit it on a table too.
One of my friends has 3 full head mounts on his wall. One of them, it doesnt matter where you stand it seems like its looking right at you, LOL. His wife does not like that one!
