They are asking for serious injury. PVC embrittles and weakens with time, and besides that it only takes a tiny overload of starting fluid to blow it up right next to your face.

Yes true, but funner than heck! We learned that a common spud may work, but a juicy russet creates a tighter seal

The dirt poor oriental girl will likely never make enough money in her lifetime to buy one of those. For pennies, hers is far more practical.

If I were retired and had extra time on my hands I would try making a neat looking one out of wood like walnut and maple. I also wonder how rubber tube like used on slingshots or exercise bands would work compared to the coil springs. I don't think the design can produce a very powerful bow but it is an interesting design. I would make one more as a conversation piece than to use.

That video (the girl w/ the bow) is intriguing on so many levels. On the face of it, it is amazing. But I would also like to know the circumstances around the situation, such as low level tech for manufacturing, hunting for food yet has availability of a very usable video camera?etc. And of course the whole concept of a young lady who is willing and able to make, do, hunt and capture :o Uh, that be premium wife material right there fellows (for the right young man)
