As it happens those Lamprey eels and in the finger lakes and the great lakes . It used to be common to catch a rainbow or lake trout with one of those attached. They feed off the blood of the host and then drop off to spawn. Much like a common leach,. So , been there done that :nana: Next!!!

Wow...I learned something new...the only thing we catch here are brook trout and landlocked salmon. Thanks for sharing. ;)
