In the past I've seen some interest in blackpowder shooting here on the board. I'm setting up a group buy with Middlesex Village Trading Company http://www.middlesexvillagetrading.com. I did this last year and it was a great success and managed to get over a dozen people into the blackpowder sport. The muskets and pistols are made in India and are truly top notch. Pete Plunkett has had the barrel steel analysed by an independent lab, and to quote him "I'll stand behind or beside any musket I sell, just not in front of them." I have a 1740 Potzdam that I shoot on a regular basis, and with a patched ball will shoot minute of deer out to 100 yards. (not bad for a .75 cal smoothbore) Shipping to any point in the USA is $45 for a musket, or $30 for a pistol. Also if you are in New England, his shop is an easy drive up I-91 to Charleston NH. I am only doing this to get wholesale prices for buying my own guns, other than that I'm not making any money on this. I will not be accepting any payments, my purpose is only to coordinate this buy. If you have any questions or would like to know more, please PM me.

Thank you for sharing that. I got real excited when I saw the 20Ga double barrel shotgun, then I saw that they are out of them.

Pepperbox? Pete doesn't have any kits or revolvers for sale.
Sorry, I guess I misunderstood. I thought he was putting together a group order for black powder guns & listed some examples of guns & prices. I didn't know if the list was all inclusive or not, so I asked.confedsailor wrote:Pepperbox? Pete doesn't have any kits or revolvers for sale.

Had me goin' for a moment,
Nope, what I listed is what he's got. There are a few percussion pieces in there but most are flinters with the two matchlocks. If you're interested, take a look at the site, they are very pretty firelocks.
