Movie Review _ MARLOW with Leeson,, 2022 movie

Saw the MARLOW movie.

A noir style movie. Typical style but its a color movie. This style does not work exceptionally well in color (Double Indemnity is one that stands out). I think this style is past its prime.

Lesson is a detective working on a case. His office immediately reminded me of Star Trek TNG episodes where Picard is in the holodeck playing a detective. Its a mystery.

Most scenes are not of his office....he's out "working the case". First two acts are slow and plodding, as expected with third act having "action".

I'd give it a C+. If you want a change from typical action action action movies you can watch.

Has an excellent cast, you'll recognize many of the main characters...why I found it watchable mostly.

Low on humor (I don't think they intended any laugh out loud moments). While movie is set in 1939, its set in USA...so little of the war is highlighted.
