Done And Done,Meat! "Bat Out Of Hell" was a once in a Lifetime Recording! He hit his stride with Jim Steinman Composition and Lyrics,Todd Rundgren at the Helm as Producer. It was cut and shipped out right here at Cleveland International Records to the Tune of 43 Million Copies! That's alot of "Meat"! Carla DeVito crushed it with Meat as his Female Ingenue... Park Da' Bike And Put Da' Kickstand Down,Big Boy!! That Bat's Secure And Never Gettin' Near "Hell's Gate" On Your Watch!

I swear I heard his music 5 times a night on a jukebox back when I shot a lot of pool in bars. Unique sound, great lyrics. RIP

X2 HB and warminmn,

In the interest of thoroughness, weren't the vocals performed by Ellen Foley, with Karla synching them in the videos?

Uh-Oh,Pac!! Could be a Human Frailty Problem!! Back to Da' Research Pit for this one!! I've got a terrible feeling you never go off half cocked,so Ol' Ellen's due "Proper Credit"!! Wasn't she also on the first season of "Night Court"??

I dug out my Bat Out of Hell vinyl and neither are mentioned on the cover or jacket. But I might as well play it now. 8-)

I'm not steeped in Night Court history, but imdb says Ellen played Billie Young in 1984-85, which was season 2.

Fixed It,Pac! Looks like the Alzheimers Won this one as I knew it was initially Foley on Album Female Vocals. Devito came after. Foley also collaborated with Rundgren on some of his projects. They all tied in on Meat's Huge Album! While We're All Busy Not Letting Our Meat Loaf,I Think It's High Time To Let Meatloaf KickEm' Up And Relax.....

You've not only done right by Ellen; I think you've made her so happy for the rest of her life...

One of my favorites. I saw him twice in concert but unfortunately his voice was not the same in his older age but he was always a great showman and the band was great. I remember watching his 1978 SNL appearance and his awkward introduction.

I consider this my favorite Meatloaf song.
