4'8 on the outside but 6'8 on the inside
So far I am hearing that they aren't going to add crowd noise at the Olympics but Im sure they could change their minds. It would be interesting to hear the athlete noises too.

And just like all major sports, I will miss the Olympics as well. I will not watch and be preached to by the media, or the athletes. When we were kids, we could not wait for the Games to begin. Then somewhere along the line they got all weird with the ceremonies and cheating became rampant, and then the politics got in it. I will find much better things todo with my time.

You just have to sift thru the BS. Turn your volume down if you need too or it bothers you. Cheer for the ones that are doing it for love of country. Watch the lesser sports of which there are many. Those ones know there is no money in it, its just for the glory. "Almost" all of the individual athletes are great sports and other than crying they except it better than the losers in pro sports do. I know a boxer who won the junior olympics and you have to beg to see his medal... thats what its about. Not all the political crap and most of them even now dont care about that. The virus stuff will get old listening too but I have a mute button on my remote.
I know for me it will beat watching the various pro MN sports teams lose
minus the MN Lynx of course... the one winning team they rarely show on over air tv so I can rarely watch them

The cheating goes back forever, they are all cheating to some degree. It's just who gets caught.... It's no secret every cyclist was doping, Armstrong just got caught.
One reason I'm commenting is we are entering a new era of bio-engineering. One of the reasons Michael Phelps was such a dominant swimmer is he has a DNA mutation that stopped his body from producing as much lactic acid as most other athletes. It's the body's mechanism to prevent you from overexerting yourself, your muscles get tired.
I'm not suggesting he is the product of a lab but advantages like this could be undetectable and even if they were detectable who's to say it's not natural?
