Where music is concerned you either have it or you don't. Since sound is your primary sense being blind is probably beneficial where music is concerned. One of my best friends when I was younger played the drums, never had any formal instruction but did start playing very young witha little bit of held from his Dad who was also a musician. He was good, I mean really good as in he could of played for national act.

I had a friend that was a really good drummer as well but started out in the H.S. band, just a natural at it loved jazz but the money was in rock & country. As with most of those back then a lot of performers traveled with just their singing group & used local back up bands so he got to tour with some & back up many others.

Very true, Richard. Fewer senses to interfere with concentration on the music. Not that I would choose that "advantage" for myself ....Richard S. wrote:Where music is concerned you either have it or you don't.
