Ill never understand how a person could have knowledge of child abuse and not say something to authorities.... Id have trouble not shootin em where they stood
You would have needed a lot of ammo if you were in State College.waldo lemieux wrote:Ill never understand how a person could have knowledge of child abuse and not say something to authorities.... Id have trouble not shootin em where they stood

Apparently you did not read the article I posted.samhill wrote:Sandusky probably wants the same type of deal as Hastert got so he's bringing everything back out.

Yes, still dead. But according to the article, the abuses were known 15 or more years prior to what was brought out before this.gaw wrote:--------------------------------------------------THIS JUST IN--------------------------------------------------

Anyone that thought for a minute that Paterno didn't know what was going on is a fool, Joe knew all & never wanted Penn State Football to have it's name tarnished. More than likely quite a few other things got hushed up as they do everywhere, football brings in more cash than any other sport. It isn't right but it is what it is!

This is something we can agree on.samhill wrote:Anyone that thought for a minute that Paterno didn't know what was going on is a fool, Joe knew all & never wanted Penn State Football to have it's name tarnished. What surprises me is that they didn't get rid of Sandusky in the late 70's after the first reported incident, he spent 30 years there according to the article. Did he have something on Paterno?

SWP, he more than likely promised Joe that if it did happen it would never happen again & then added that if Joe fired him then he would bring it out into the open & ruin P.S. Football program. Joe would do anything to protect his program, there were & are a lot of things that go on to get the players they want to commit to Penn State & elsewhere.

It wouldn't make sense would it for Sandusky to expose himself as a child molester, because Paterno fired him or forced him to resign??????samhill wrote:SWP, he more than likely promised Joe that if it did happen it would never happen again & then added that if Joe fired him then he would bring it out into the open & ruin P.S. SWP, he could have exposed PSF for doing any # of things that most all programs do. Sandusky wouldn't have to expose the reason & it would be doubtful if PS would do it. The end result may have been much less but a tarnish none the less.
