I am not a Patriots fan,but Brady was certainly a great QB and one of the best ever. For him to pretend he didn't know all those balls were under-inflated was an insult. He has tainted his legacy, just like any player using steroids. He cheated and lied about it.

Really, I don't think he did anything myself ... and its all part of the game (many QBs change the pressure higher and lower). Joe Montana talked about his OL smearing Vaseline over their jerseys .... all in fun.Stoker6268 wrote:The self proclaim Golden Boy will pay for his cheating! And the Colts game sure turned on the passing game LOL .. the Pats crushed them running.

The ball handlers admitted to tampering with them. You really believe they did that without his directive?? NFW!!

Again, so what? Many QBs do the same ... some like the ball softer, some harder.Stoker6268 wrote:The ball handlers admitted to tampering with them. You really believe they did that without his directive?? NFW!!
The Colts got manhandled in that game.

Were they cheating or just smarter because someone knew the laws of physics?Stoker6268 wrote:The self proclaim Golden Boy will pay for his cheating!
Different pressure in the balls is repeatable without changing the volume of air.

So what??? Apparently it is something because the Golden Boy did everything he could to hide it, and won't admit it. Even destroyed his phone to cover it up! If it's nothing, why doesn't he just admit it?davidmcbeth3 wrote:

It's so sad when a team or a player or coach have to cheat to try to win. That's exactly what the Patriots do time and time again. From Spygate, to deflate gate. Rules are rules. If everyone was doing it how come no one else got accused or a caught?Richard S. wrote:

And the Patriots and Brady got manhandled by the Broncos. And the Broncos didn't have to cheat.davidmcbeth3 wrote:

The Pack was caught spying a few times too ... I think many teams do it.Stoker6268 wrote:It's so sad when a team or a player or coach have to cheat to try to win. Everyone of these teams tries to get an edge by bending the rules. Spygate is unacceptable however in this case you can duplicate this without changing the volume of air in the ball. If you created the environmental conditions for the ball to lose pressure it's borderline but I don't think it rises to the level of cheating. Realistically this can happen accidentally.Stoker6268 wrote:

But can it happen accidentlly to every ball but one? http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/23/us/nfl-patriots-deflategate/index.htmlRichard S. wrote:Everyone of these teams tries to get an edge by bending the rules. Where was that ball filled with air compared to the others? I'm not saying they didn't do it on purpose, what I'm saying is it could happen accidentally.SWPaDon wrote: But can it happen accidentlly to every ball but one?
If the deflated balls are stored in a hot room and then filled with room air to the correct pressure the air inside the ball is going to be slightly hotter. Even sitting in that room they are going to lose some pressure, when you expose them to the cold they are going to lose even more. Something like this can be inadvertent or on purpose. People have been able to duplicate the pressures in these balls by duplicating what the environmental conditions were. They may have taken advantage of environmental conditions but if that is all they did I'm not so sure that rises to the level of cheating.
You could even enhance this by filling the balls with air that was a lot hotter than the room air. Doing something like that is where you have crossed the line into cheating.
