Im looking for the recipe .Years ago L L Bean from Maine had the starter .Made great light pancakes .Reply you guys if you can .jack.

Damn they're proud of that stuff.

I thought sourdough starter was a wild yeast concoction you kept in the fridge. At least for bread, I never heard of making sourdough pancakes. Maybe Jack will enlighten us after he finds his starter mix.

Guys I pulled up the L L Bean breakfast thing .No mention of sourdough starter .Gaw they used to sell a pint crock of starter .You left some starter in crock to refrigerate for next time .What you put a portion of starter in your pancake recipeand as I said you Saved some .Anyway damn good Light pancakes .One never had that feeling You Had Heavy Doughy tummy ache .I will call L L Bean Monday .jack
