Sharp cheddar is a nice compliment to the pie - try it if you don't believe me.

What type of apples did you use? We use Mac's, because they grow in the backyard. :D

Yup, love good ole' New York sharp cheddar on tart apples. The Mrs. and our boy got apples from a local grower on the last day of the season...1/2 price pick your own, Cortland apples, bigger and sweeter this year.

...I must say, I'm liking the lattice crust. It lets me pour the fresh caramel sauce in the pie when it comes out of the oven...like I need it! :lol:
