The Frugal Gourmet. Don't know if this should be in the childhood thread or not. I use to enjoy this show. It was either on before or after This Old House. I better start watching more of these so I'm ready when Priscilla shows up. Hopefully a full course meal will keep the wife from killing me. Matt

Your probably too young to remember this show. The Galloping Gourmet.

High School girlfriend lived one block from school. We'd go there for lunch. Her mother watched that show every day. Pretty funny guy.

Now, I like to watch Cook's Country Kitchen on PBS. They don't just throw a bunch of stuff in a pot, like many of the cooking shows. I like how they explain the science of what's happening as ingredients cook together. Plus I like that they do ingredient comparison tests and the kitchen equipment tests.

I remember watching the Galloping Gourmet when I was a kid, heck, I remember watching Julia Child's show!

Anyone remember Pierre Franey's show?
