I would ask that all of you pray for all of us and especially for our son. He's been sick for nearly a month, all of us have been sick and been to the doctor, but we all seem to be getting some better. Something has been going around in the schools for the last two months. Who knows what it is.
Over the last few days our son has complained with his shoulder blade area and right side rib area being sore. Yesterday the pain was so severe a big strapping 13 year old was in tears trying to move.
Just had him to the doctor for the 3rd time this morning, although his pain is some better. Doc said heart and lungs sound good, but he wanted to get a chest x-ray in the morning in-office. Couldn't do it today because the x-ray staff was not in.
I'm a little concerned about the x-ray and why it may or may not be needed. Our son had been coughing pretty hard during or after a meal, and again in the shower. After-wards the cough would settle down and he'd be fine, little croupy, but not bad. We've all had that...as well as low grade fever, which has subsided. Wife is still coughing some, I seem to be nearly over it, but our son seem to have gotten it back again.
I guess he could have cracked a rib coughing, but doc said it's unlikely, though not impossible.
Just worried, that's all!!!

They were doing a scan of my kidneys for stones...
Went a bit high...
Caught my gallbladder in the scan...
Got a call to come in ASAP...
Confirmed with an ultrasound...
Seems I had a golf ball sized stone in the gallbladder...
No symptoms...
Two days later they removed the gallbladder...
No complications...
Ya just never know...
Pictures can rule in or out many things...
Don't hesitate on the Xray...

And don't fret about the kid getting an x-ray. The imaging equipment is much more sensitive now so that the x-ray dosages don't need to be high. No where near as much as when we were kids and we're still here.

Find xray with staff if that is possible...you have good and tested CO detectors where family members spend the bulk of their time at?

Our doc office has their own x-ray people, but they were off today for some reason. So, I’ll call tomorrow. If they are there I won’t have to leave our small rural town...otherwise I’ll have to go to a local hospital...another small college town...MU.
Not worried about the X-ray itself...just what they might find. Of course, I’d rather it be cracked rib or out of place rib or vertebrae than pneumonia. Could be walking pneumonia though. I really have no idea why they’re doing the x-ray if the heart and lungs sounded good as they said. I just felt uneasy about it all. Like everyone was acting strange. Maybe it was me. He’s not coughing much, but when he does he’s coughing stuff up...which is good. Will no more in the morning.
CO detectors are new. One is 8 ft from the stove and reading 0.
I’ve tried to make it a habit for everyone that anytime they enter the house when the stove is on the first thing they do is glance at that CO detector, same thing when getting up in the morning. We are not perfect, but myself, I’ve developed a pretty good habit of looking at it.
