Ive shot raccoons, woodchucks, skunks and rabbits with it. I never had one move yet  Its one of those H&R Buffalo Classics with a 32"? barrel, peep sight. Its pretty hard to miss. A poor mans buffalo rifle. Now if I could draw a bead on this virus it would be over with quick!

Klook? How does she feel? I know it hits people differently but Iā€™m really wondering. Does she feel possessed aweful or just awful?

I've got a Trapdoor Springfield in 45/70. Remind me not to shoot the 500 grain rounds again.

And yet they chamber the T/C Contender in .45-70...always wanted one, not sure how much I'd ever shoot it. :eh:

That was great. I'm going to keep an extra roll around just in case she shows up around here.

My niece in Waterville was one of the first 90 in Maine. She manages an Aroma Joe's coffee shop....She is real young, and I expect a full recovery. But you never know????

Kevin
Let's hope for a speedy recovery.

They say when this ends we will all know someone who had it if we don't get it ourselves.

I had a model 1888 trapdoor years ago. Fun stuff. I think I still have a few boxes of 45/70. The commercial loads in that cartridge are light black powder equivalents so people don't blow up the vintage pieces. Buffalo bore ammo or handloads are a different matter. Also had a 60's Marlin in .444. Equivalent of hot loaded 45/70. Very accurate for a big bore. I wish I still had it.

I had some pretty nice military rifle collections from 1870's to early 50's. I sold them off many years ago to fund a wedding and later, a year and a half of unemployment. Still have plenty of 7mm and 8mm mauser and 30-06 ammo for some pets. No big regrets, but I wish I still had the FN-49 in 8mm.

Yes the post game review on this one will be...
Where were you...
Ma just shut schools till May 4...
At this point just close the school for the year...
Start again in September...
Maybe start in July if the classroom temps can be kept normal...
Going to be destroying the Tourist economy if the lock down continues...
That and the sharks...
Getting the kids out on the trails behind our house...
Gotta be familiar just in case...
Waiting for a Covid test to come back on one of the twins...
Test results are taking 7 days so far...
Other tests are negative, so far...
But a 25% false negative test rate...
Waiting for the antibody test to hit the masses...
Then we will know the denominator in this equation...
So much FUD being tossed around it just amazes me...

Well at least you don't have to skin 'em. Just sweep up whatever's left and put it in the pot.

We must be in new times...

My six year old daughter was playing yesterday with her Barbie dolls, and I overheard her say; her speaking as if she was Barbie, to Barbie's younger sister Chelsea, "It will be okay Chelsea, don't cry, we still have plenty of toilet paper and eggs."

Out of the mouths of babes. Gotta love kids. Bless her heart.
