Its way more contagious then they are letting on. Maybe similar to the swine flu how fast it spreads. Sorry, no links, just been reading about it quite a bit this past week as virus's (mostly flu the past 100 years) are one thing i read about for entertainment... i need a life

I do think it will be widespread here but I dont expect we will have the death rate many of the countries have because of our medical field but then again, what if they get swamped? Who knows.

All its going to take is someone that doesnt know they are sick in a crowd of people and this will spread quick because of the long incubation period. Thanks in advance for the links Grumpy.

Well its obvious some people are scared. 2 days ago the plain Jane 3M N95 filters were mostly selling for $3-4 each shipped which is normal. The link is for sold ebay listings starting with most recent first.(not asking prices, sold prices) Note, the link will constantly update I think.

People have actually paid $20 EACH for these masks? Now.... if I wear one and go to town to buy a candy bar..... when I get home..... do I bring that germ laden mask into the house with me?

Fred's wool sock coffee filter would do just as much good once the mask is wet. (Dry the mask might work) The masks with the vent in the middle will last a lot longer before getting wet. The ebay link will constantly update if you want to monitor how nuts people are. Im sure their are other items like medicines, chemical suits, survival food, etc. People panic, it seems to be what we do.

You are only seeing what our media want you to see.....look at the numbers, it is not killing people in droves. The masks are useless. I was a lot more worried about Ebola then this flu. But the hype is almost as great as Elon......

I don't watch the American MSM, I get info from forums where people chime in from all over the world. There is a bit of hype but this virus is different. It is very contagious and could affect a lot of people.

Japan closed all schools for the next month, Italy has 14 citys on lock down, the list goes on, 43 country's now, just saying.

The insanity over it is probably a lot more dangerous than the virus itself.
