Well...
I guess it is better than the alternative...
Still above ground...
Was hoping and praying for the best...
But with what happened you did very well...
You just need a cool story for cover now...
Baby shark...
Large piranha...

Best to be glad with what you have than sorry about what's gone. Life goes on, as I had said in an earlier post I used to work with a guy that had some toes removed (including a big one) to replace fingers that he had lost. Besides the re-learning experience for him he never missed a beat, he even took all the steel mill ribbing in stride. Take care &look forward.

Ask the doctors about using silicon bandage/wound pads over the toes to help the skin heal. Likely you'll have to wait until there is some coverage and healed, but it can help with stretching, scarring, and even sensitivity.
Have a friend with a really sensitive finger tip after an accident. It helped the healing, but it still doesn't like the cold.

YEOWSIRS,
yep that's going to take a bit. I knocked off 2 finger tips back to the nail bed and that took a pair of minutes to skin over I can tell ya. they still don't like the cold at all.
if anyone can do this it's you big brother, as mentioned, follow the instructions and don't go over board trying to get ahead of the process.
it really does seem silly to say all this stuff considering all we've watched you make it passed in the last couple years. you have a tremendous life force in you and the Creator is clearly on your side.
all the best
steve
