I bet. Some people use Lidocaine patches to relieve the pain.

They say SHINGRIX is very effective, over 90% but I guess you're a little late for that.

I still have scars from my bout with shingles 6 years ago. If you see the Dr. ask about treatment. Many people have residual pain years after. Dr put me on an anti viral med and the drug given to people with diabetic nephropathy pain. It worked for me. I have the scars but no residual pain.

Ugh... I feel for you brother.
My dad had a bout with that last year and a good friend two years ago. My dad is a tough old dude. It was hard on him...
Both were uncomfortable for quit a while.
Prayers to you man. I hope you recover quickly!

Just FYI...
After reading this thread this morning I was in CVS and asked the pharmacist about getting a Shingrex vaccination. She told me I could get on her waiting list of 100+ or come back in the Spring. It's in short supply/large demand.

Maybe this can help you find other locations who *may* have it available now or sooner?

Thank you for the tip.
I do plan to keep searching. I just wanted to let everyone know that it may be difficult to find a source.

I also don't have any idea if it is available at any of those places, just found the link to search. Thought it might help someone who is trying to find it.
