Terry it is humbling and empowering praying for loved ones. My family is at end of a 2 yr ordeal as my wife had bilateral breast surgery for stage 3 breast cancer. Stay selfless my friend you and the Mrs. are in good hands.

Thanks everyone for the kind and encouraging words. Prayers for those of you who said you are going through similar battles. Late yesterday we got word the pathology on the tissue removed from her arm was cancer free!! That's a good thing but the oncologist rather matter of factly said that cancer cells have already traveled and its up to her immune system to zap them. We are optimistic. Next hurdle is the restart of her heart on the 12th.
It's great to have the support of this group. I just felt like I needed to tell someone what we are going through and it was very helpful to tell it here.

Fred you have no idea! She is a very kind and caring person but is also as tough as nails. She had 3 babies the hard way, no meds! And as you pointed out has survived 40+ years with me!

coalkirk; I wish you and yours all the best.
A lot of people have AFib, my wife has it now and then; Paroxysmal fibrillation
I would think your wife has a long standing or permanent AFib that they are planning the treatment you describe. The doctors must feel pretty confident; they must feel that the treatment is less risky than doing nothing. That’s how medical treatments should be decided, weigh the risks vs rewards and it sounds like you and your wife have been properly informed.
Getting older sucks.

Ya' Know, perhaps Don Vito Corleone once said : " A Friend should always underestimate Your Virtues, and an Enemy Overestimate Your Faults "
Geez,it's pretty crazy when I've got to drag out an old character quote from that gnarly cruncher of a flick, namely " The Godfather " , but perhaps it is something to ponder......
