On The Cape a farm designation lets you do just about anything...
Any property over 6 acres can be a farm...
wetland smetland it's a farm...
Want to clear some farmland fine...
Just call the FD when you light up the pile of trees you cleared...

It was a wet land , probably a stream , not sure. Today I would not mess around. The conservation dept has satellite photography. In the old days they encouraged pond building.

I have learned if I keep it an acre or less I don’t need squat. It’s a bit smaller than I’d like but it’s about what I’m looking for. Enough for some fish and ducks. Not looking to build a lake.

Spring fed? Depth and cover will dictate summer water temps. Some of the best panfish can be found in small farm ponds. Great to teach kids how to fish.
