Fell over into a fence and put his leg through a bar and buggered up his coronary band. Colloidal silver and lots of struggles. I need this like a hole in the head.

In his 20s, don't really know. Giant bugs on his back and he tried to roll over... or a heart condition that we have suspected before. Or as a wise man once said ... that's horses for you. FF will understand that one.

I was leading him back to his stall about 2 years ago and he fell on me for no reason. Took me back to when I was 19 and I was drunk ad picked up an over weight girl from Cardiff in Wales. Never mind this is a family board

That is my departed wifes Duke who was dearly loved. Yes someday it may happen but it will be sad. Perhaps FF should go first

Would you mind if I used that? Perfect name for my wife's horse farm. I would give you credit of course, but I cannot afford royalties because, well, we have horses.

We've never had the coronary band injury on a horse. What's the treatment?

WTW well you can look that up but it keeps the hoof attached. SMZs were given but the horse hated that. Colloidal silver was next from my old hunting days in England. It's working very well. Daily hoof redressings, already walking normally. He and the pony are using a 110x80 ring. As they forage so they heal ... no grass but it's working. It's going to take months. phenlybutazone of course. Tough as a horse as they say. I will keep you informed. Fingers crossed. If a vet says cardiac involvement then that eliminates one possibility. Blown hock leading to an unsteady gait is my guess. The reason he was retired in the first place. It's not glue time yet by a long stretch. He gave all he had to Shelley in the day and now I will do the same.
