Nice looking animals, we used to have a local logger that used horses.
It was amazing the work that he got done with a team. He was quite the horseman.
He would work a team through the winter and right up to the late summer then he'd
start going to all the shows with draft animal competitions, he would just wipe out his
competitors that hadn't been working their teams, then he's sell that team for a very good price
pick up another and start working them and repeat the cycle.
His logging was the nicest also the woods weren't all tore-up and destroyed, didn't have half
the standing trees all barked up and scarred.
Unfortunately cancer got him a few years ago.
