OK, here I am drinking at the well again.

My Deere AMT 600 after only 38 years with very little servicing is already giving me problems. The CVT discs have separated and one is flapping around loose. So of course the machine will not go and a lot of clattering once you start to rev up. The drive chain is ls horribly loose with no way of tightening on the 600 but I can fix that one my taking out a couple of links. Deere just states obsolete and the young kid at the counter does not even know what one is. I guess I need a CVT unit. Inspirational ideas gratefully accepted. I can't see anything on Ebay right now. Everything around here is breaking and I'm getting upset. I will carry the horse chit out to the pile in a bucket in my teeth before I pay Deere for a $25000 POS replacement that is very poorly made. The 600 hydraulic dump is just great and the balloon tires ideal.
