Water is the #1 building material and now the available supply is perilously low...

And needed for all human activity on earth....

Water supplies a large amount of electricity in many areas.

How do we fix this worldwide crisis ????

Stop watching the news ? Move everyone on earth to Michigan ? Wait till next year when there will be too much water ?
I read that if you took all the water in the great lakes and spread it out over the continental US it would cover it seven feet deep.

All you have to do is look at US,Europe,India,China all the pictures

send the same message "Water is the new Oil".

Tell them how to move the water around and you will be a billionaire.

Lake Erie one mile away with plenty of water and were not going to

give any of it up. Canada has a say too and they already said NO.

Droughts are natural. Moving water from the great lakes, the cost would be so big and the logistics are impossible, or close. (Piping water somewhere) Too dry? Move where there is water or wait for rain. A little bit of personal preparation would do wonders for these things instead of waiting on the govt to do something about it... There are still idiots watering their lawns, as an example, while they cut back water that vegetable farmers need so we can eat. You cant beat stupid.

Wasn't California supposed to be part of the pacific ocean by now...... winter will be cold and summer will be hot. I bet it'll rain in the spring and fall. Stop believing all this mainstream bullshit. Nothing else to hype up to get ratings. Waste of time even typing this.

Not to worry, global warming is solving this by melting the ice caps.

Only so much room on the planet. When do we hit the breaking point.

I've been hearing about over population and running out of food and water for 50 years - back when the world was only about 3 billion people. Fly cross-country at night and observe how much dark areas there are between lights of the populated areas, then tell me how over-crowed the world is.

And all the hype about increasing CO2 and glo-bull warming ? That extra CO2 helps grow more food. As for glo-bull warming causing the oceans to rise and flood coastal areas, ask yourself why so many of those pushing glo-bull warming are buying/building expensive houses on the coast only a few feet above sea level.

Water shortage on a planet that is 3/4 covered with water ? Maybe some are living in the wrong area. :baby:

In my opinion the problem is exactly what you described. The population is extremely crowded in some areas, and almost non-existent in others. To make matters worse, a lot of areas with high population aren't a great choice for that due to water availability (as you noted). To put it simply, there is a poor match between where many people are located and where there is plenty of fresh water. Packing millions of people into a city is just like overcrowding a barn with too many cows. Even if there is plenty of water you will have more problems with disease, there will be more fighting, and there is a lot of sh*t to deal with.

I don't know how many people the earth can support, but I think as the global population grows and people wish to increase their standard of living, we will encounter new problems.

Earth is covered with the 75% water but it is all salt water and not

usable for domestic purposes.

Find a cheap and easy way to desalinate water and your a billionaire.

CO2 is ok for plants but it also plays a role in the increase of the acidity

of the seas.

So, all lakes, rivers, glaciers, and the polar ice caps are salt water ? When did that change happen ?
