I got a reply from someone in Finland when I posted info on the energy

sand storage for heat , he said there is a large demand and a small supply

of sand there. They have to import a lot of sand to be able to satisfy the

demand, who would think that ? Even Saudi Arabia imports sand.

Now I came across this video to put sand in perspective.

There is a large market for "sharp" construction grade sand not desert type sand.

Top exporters..

https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/top-20-sand-e ... tries.html

"The most-extracted solid material in the world, and second-most used global resource behind water, sand is an unregulated material used extensively in nearly every construction project on Earth. And with 50 billion metric tons consumed annually—enough to build an 88-foot-tall, 88-foot-wide wall around the world—our sand depletion is on the rise, and a completely unregulated rise at that."

Glaciers were kinder in some places as for construction sand deposits.

All of use can attribute some part of our employment to having 'dire need' or 'shortages', whether it be labor, whether it be imported components or internet cooperation, the bottom line is regardless of what you do, things never run smoothly and there's always some sort of scramble for solutions to unforseen problems.
Fact is, the JOB of people in the media is to publish stories, albeit stretched and blown out of proportion. Some people are really good at making mountains out of mole hills. Youtubers' are high up on that list. Of course there is truth woven within, but there's also an attempt to create panic, need to 'watch more' and so much more.

There is water shortages all over the world, there are food shortages equally as abundant, we shant be surprised by these! This is the planet we live on, we should be VERY grateful for the country we live in with it's prosperity and above and beyond provisions.
Mind you, that's all vanishing quickly!
