GigaPress for the future
These presses will make old piecemeal assembly of large parts obsolete..
8000 ton press can replace 100+ robot assembly steps and produce one
finished casting every 90 seconds, with excellent quality.

See now Volvo is ready to order a GigaPress to be able to compete with
Tesla in the EV space . Tesla already making front and rear mega castings
for its cars. Where are you GM , Ford, Stellantis ????

Oh boy! One beer bump or pipe dent and your vehicle is totaled.
Yes, cheaper to make, but cost 10x more to fix, what you can see. What about the damage you can't see?
8000 ton is a pip squeak compared to 10,000 ton and bigger. Made quit a few over the years.
Link to a little knick nack part, that is part of main assembly.
I got the shaft today

Not interested in putting people out of work, just using their God given talents
for the improvement of mankind. Man will always look for a better everything
and will not be stopped. We always set a goal so we have something to try to
achieve , may not always succeed but never stop trying.

Whether it works or not on tax payers $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$--mucho money for this kinda crap.
This is not crap it is a view of the future , either you get on the wagon or
be dragged behind , listen GM,FORD, STELLANTIS. Your already years
behind and will never catch up.
The cost savings are great and will quickly pay for themselves.
As far as welfare the US manufacturers take advantage of all programs
available to them , I'm sure you take every deduction on your taxes and
don't give any extra money to Uncle Sam that is not required.

Barney what I know for sure is the sentence "We aren't going to implement this cost savings technology because we don't want to make boatloads of more money." is something that was never uttered by a CEO of any company.
If you are subsidizing something or mandating something it's not going to make a product cheaper. This also hinders free market innovation. When you mandate a technology, renewable energy for example, it only has to compete against similar technologies within the mandated industries instead of competing against all technologies.
I love how renewable energy advocates will tout how much it has increased, no *censored*, it's the law.....
Only CEO's living in the past or are dead will not want to implement cost
savings with new technology.
Why can't people see that energy that does not come from fossil fuel is
essentially free and no fossil fuel can ever be free.

So, all the building, hook up to the grid, operation, maintenance, and the rather short operational life need of replacement and recycling costs of windmills and solar panels, are "free energy" ?
How many windmills and solar panels are you ordering ? Or are you going to just keep burning coal ?

And how are those trucks going to deliver the windmills and panels and everything…Sunny Boy wrote: ↑Wed. Electric cars are cool fast sports cars for sure.. but until you can buy a used EV for 20,000 it’s not cheaper, you can go buy a used small gas car for 20,000 that gets 30+mpg and is reliable.

Using that logic fossil free is free. It's in the ground and free for the taking, you only need to collect it. Same thing applies with renewables, you have sunshine and wind which is free, just like fossil fuel the cost is in collecting it.
The only time renewables are free is when you have passive system that you would of spent money on anyway, e.g. windows.
You can never win this debate against me Barney.
