Right to repair John Deere

The right to repair argument... Cars,Tractors,Computers,other electronics...
I believe that much of this was already settled in that you only pay for a license
to use software and do not ever own it. You can't change any of the firmware
but can enter your own data where this would be applicable . These issues will
continue as long as people want to change the software for some reason.
The mechanical parts can be generally be repaired but most service workers
are not trained in the electronics repair,they can do the electrical repairs.
Many electronic parts are not field serviceable so replacement is the only
viable solution.The test equipment diagnostics are much more complicated
and require a large investment , and even then many repairs are not feasible
at the dealer level.
