Update on parts price. Bearings are around 40K plus disassemble and assemble. Ouch.

The part raw forging is 86K each.

So 10k bearings should be...
6 weeks out...
LOL...
Looks like somebody wants to work a bit tighter...
Specs and workmanship all the same...
A startup looking to grab market share...
Pretty big difference in time and cash...

The two shafts left the building. One is completely roughed down. The other is bent 1.5 inches. They are in route to Georgia to get straighten and finished.

In other news, our biggest customer is bankrupt. That is 85 percent of our work. We have enough to do till October. Then out of business.

More news, two of us gave our notice on Friday. Duke gave 3 weeks notice, I gave my 2 week notice.

I'm going to make smaller parts for submarines, rockets and prototype bombs and rockets.

Good luck in your new job, I don't think you have to worry much with your skillset. But always a little trepidation going someplace new.

That military job fell thru. I have multiple trespassing citations on military property from getting caught fishing where your not allowed.

I took a job across the road. Making gas and water pipeline meters. They make the fittings, gears and impellars, plus wire fingers inside meter box. Plus it pays better.
