Of course and well written as well. A good read.
I need to stoke Sunny again. They had it right in 1860.

Oh no....nothing but the facts.....No emotional howling about the polar bears and the oncoming high water events. Super storms and more tornadoes....It must be fiction.....

Next week we will see if enough powerbase (24 hours a day generation) units are left running in the center of the country next week as another bum freezer hits us,.

Plenty of time to alter this stupidity.

So in reality the 97% consensus among all scientists for global warming being due to the activities of mankind is actually closer to about 36.5%. But here's the rub: Science is not done via consensus. Only anti-science is done that way. Here are some examples of anti-science that won the consensus game hands down:coalnewbie wrote: ↑Mon. The earth is flat
The sun goes around the earth
The earth is the center of the universe
A global flood inundated the earth and killed everyone sans for a few people on a boat and some animals.
The earth is 6,000 years old.
God rides his chariot on the clouds
Pillars hold up the earth
A rigid dome holds back the waters of heaven, separating them from the waters of earth.
The heart is the location of mans intelligence
Heavy rocks fall faster than light rocks
Insects have 4 legs
Reality is malleable and/or unknowable (this one is to this day agreed upon by both mainstream philosophy and religion, if consensus is what matters)
And many thousands more.....
And since only a small fraction of scientists are even involved in or concerned in the least about climate studies, the real percentage is only a small fraction of 36.5%.

Are you saying that it has to be a majority to ever have a chance of being right?
Some scientists may have better things to spend their precious time on...it's just us dummy's with too much time on our hands that are bothered one way or the other about any global warming. Sells a lot of News too. $$$

And of course global warming fear mongering helps get lots of grants for study. I agree with the article. However we are on the cusp I believe of a major breakthrough in battery technology and when that happens wind and solar make much more sense.

Understand though that battery technology is not aimed at homeowner market, but rather at the utility scale of market...
If homeowners all had batteries and also had generation...utilitys would be out of business...that's not going to happen...

Whenever there was a wind farm going in here in CNY, there was a lot of backlash from people in the area who don't want the view littered with windmills. It's very pretty country here in CNY and they don't think windmills make it look better. Many see them as a blight on the landscape. Same as city folks wouldn't want to look out their windows at a power plant next door.

That mostly sums up my feelings about them. Its just when you are driving thru hundreds of them for many miles you see nothing but them. You dont really notice any other scenery as they take over the landscape. My feelings are, if they want the power in the cities then set aside land in those cities for them. No, they wont do that. At least with solar they do that some.Sunny Boy wrote: ↑Thu.
