I wouldn't be quite so sure about that. Most polls show a wide margin of support for Net Neutrality. Over viewing the summary of this one it appears to be fairly unbiased poll as they actually provide what net neutrality is and also provide arguments for and against.
One other thing to keep in mind is Republicans that support this may be reluctant to vote for if they know it will die in the Senate. That is not an issue.http://www.publicconsultation.org/united-states/o ... eutrality/
At the conclusion, 83% opposed repealing net neutrality, including 75% of Republicans, as well as 89% of Democrats and 86% of independents.

This is the best analogy I have come up with for NN.
If your ISP was the water company operating under NN they could charge you by the gallon or charge you a flat rate. They could also offer you water at higher or lower pressures. They could charge for any combination of the two. They could charge you based on the time of day. They can also increase/lower the volume/pressure at different times of the day as they see fit. There is no limitations on what they can charge or how they charge for the water itself.
What they couldn't do is charge you more for water being used for a Maytag washer instead of their preferred model. Nor could they lower the pressure or amount of water available to the Maytag and/or increase it for GE washers because GE paid them for more water/pressure.
The capabilities of either washer are only limited by how much water/pressure you are paying for. If you are only paying for a low amount of volume neither will perform well. If one can perform better with a higher pressure of water and you are paying for a higher pressure of water it will outperform the other one.
Last but not least if they wanted to build and sell you their own washer they can do that, just as above they would not be able to hinder the operation of some other brand or give their brand preferential treatment.

And your legs. It seems to me that killing net neutrality will make the Internet more like cable TV. Is there any group of companies in the country more hated than the cable franchises? Basic Internet -- $44. What? You want to access YouTube? -- $7 more per month. A package of news organizations? -- $5, but that doesn't include Fox, which you can get only if you buy the premium bundle at $12. Online betting? -- $9 but only for New Jersey casinos, no sports-betting unless (again) you get the premium channel at $18. And so on.
Sure, let's cut the legs off Obama's legacy, and lop off our right hands in the process.
