The easiest way to fix is put it on a stump and apply axe firmly.... At the very least it will complete satisfaction with the fix.

well turns out, its actually windows 10, I never actually looked it up in the computer itself, just took my wifes word that it was windows 8... so FORGET all that stuff about upgrading...

so right now its running fine if its plugged in, its not draining the battery, but its not charging it either..

I used my last laptop that way for several years -- always plugged in. The battery wasn't dead, but was only good for about 20 minutes after charging.

ya maybe ill have to just transform it into a desktop somewhere in the house.
