Man, I do this w/ a steel tape and high voltage cables, I wouldn't tell you to do this if it was going to mess up your pex.

The outside is corrugated plastic, the pex and string are inside obviously.

Dig carefully 1-3 ft into the soil and the piping run. Cut open the exterior case, get the string and work from there. Crappy solution for sure but that is where you are. No magic tricks are left to play.

You can still do the wireless bridge if you want a camera out there bad enough. You won't need to run a cable from the house that way.

Or, here is a 250ft exterior run from the carriage house where there is a Netgear extender. Admittedly it has to sit on a metal toaster by the window to function. The router is also at the window. Total clear line of sight. However, it does work and we get good speeds.

You got power down by the front drive entrance...
400 feet is not an issue with a point to point wireless link...
You need good product not some cheap ass staples/walmart wireless to do the point to point...
Doesn't have to be expensive stuff either just the right stuff...
Ethernet underground needs an air gap connector or you will fry the switch...
at some point...
and should be separate from high voltage...
Fiber would do nicely...
Glass won't conduct a short nor cause issue with different ground potential...
Wireless/Wired network inside to run cameras back to NVR...
The HD ip cameras can make a very nice picture...
See if you got a private WISP in the area...
You could mount an external hi-gain antenna going back to a cellular enabled router...
These cams seem to be best buy for $$$...

When all else fails give this a try: Take a piece of 1/2" pex or garden hose and stick it in the end of your shop vac hose. Tape it up good, turn on the vac and feed the other end slowly down the pipe and slowly back up with the string.hotblast1357 wrote: ↑Wed. Mar. 07, 2018 4:00 pmHaha! P.S. I drink Coors Lite.

Indeed it may be but I am getting service over 250 feet to the other building and now I realize I have a snow filled tree in the way. It is however window to window. Let me test the speed..,I have power out at the entrance, it’s 300 feet from the house. Probably still to far.
I have a 100 service and am getting 60 down and 20 up with a ping of 22.
Through the extender it's ..... 1.62 down 0.62 up with the same ping. Hmmm, not so hot. It's however, an aging router and the cheapest of everything. I thought it was better than that. We have watched a movie over there as I remember.

Now you will just need the fiber(OM3 or OS2 will suffice) and a fiber kit to terminate the fiber. You could just get by with a cheap cleaver from Ebay and a few Hubbell proclick fiber connectors, then a NEMA 4 enclosure to house a fiber media converter that will be needed.CapeCoaler wrote: ↑Wed. The whole thing is still way to expensive. My Walmart c rap is in it's seventh year of operation.

you can buy fiber with the ends already terminated and with pulls installed...
Just sure you measure correctly...
We had to fix a FU by an out of state electrician...
In a water pumping station...
Nice conduit but all empty...
They were supposed to do the fiber also...
Good point to point...
Priced right...
