I'll cut to the chase....I have no time and desire to figure it out. But would someone calculate the amount of solar panels and the sq miles of land mass to put them on at the current sunny day average for NY and the current battery technology to keep NYC up and running for one night? Not anyplace outside the city, who cares about them anyways, just the city. Without killing people and taking their land, for solar or agriculture, there is not enough landmass in the US to power our current consumption. You cannot just put them up without considering the environment, remember the Furbish Lousewart.... and the birds killed by the wind turbines.
