The original is in the case the new one came in......it says XV-15/625E.....yes, I am on a few forums for my own education and it is considered a pretty good unit. Very hard to find stylus for old cartridges....

Looking for new music, check out Spotify, it's free if need be, then get a program to capture system audio and make your own CD's or move to itunes...
