LibreOffice is what I have ... well, with word 2000 (won't open docx so I got the LibreOffice)

I use word 2000 almost exclusively ('cause I know it) but could see Libre replacing it in the future.

Another: wavepad by NHC, freeware .. use: editing audio files ... easy to use .. can record too from pc microphone inputs [I'm recording public officials all the time and use it frequently to get just the right audio clip]
