Hello everyone, I'm a new member that has been happy trying out anthricite in my outdoor wood burner. Back during the week of Thanksgiving I bought 1 skid of stove coal and paid $318 including tax. I think this is high, but after buring it, I am very happy I bought it.

That depends. Was it a ton or a ton and a quarter? I've seen it palletted both ways.WVwoodsman wrote:Hello everyone, I'm a new member that has been happy trying out anthricite in my outdoor wood burner. If it was 1 1/4 ton that is only $255/ton.
Either way it's a whole lot easier to use than wood isn't it?

That's a great price so far from the coal fields. I pay about $269 a ton if I pick it up.MN_Coal_Burner wrote:$280.00/ton bagged rice picked up from the Amish in SE Minnesota.

The Amish are great to work with and had I gotten in on their first order earlier in the year they had quoted $250/ton.wlape3 wrote:That's a great price so far from the coal fields. I bought four tons of bagged blaschak and paid 1030.00 dollars and that included a thirty dollar fee for them to deliver and stack it all in my basement. So 250.00 a ton, but the 30.00 was a great deal.
