Fitch Solutions’ coal price forecast for 2023 saw the power-station fuel trading at $190/tonne, falling from the previous estimate of $220/tonne.

^^ the short short short version above
So we may see a lowering of coal prices of $30 a ton for us ?
Anthracite Price Per Ton for the 2022-2023 Heating Season
From the 2023 pricing data ^ the median cost was about $250 / ton
I see no change in pricing with suppliers around me yet...

If the price of coal is going down, I haven't noticed. Last year when I bought Tractor supply coal it was $9.49 a bag. This year, that price has increased to $11.99... about a 26% increase in a little less than a year.

All the Tractor Supply websites near here are a dollar more at $12.99 a bag,.... that's $649.50 a ton. About three times what a cord of wood is going for around here.

I was returning skid steer forks to my neighbor and accidentally hit is iron wood rack. I repositioned it the way it was and put the wood back on it. I couldn't help but notice that this oak wood was fresh a couple years ago and seemed pretty rotten now.

Wood rots. I think that after cutting a wood burner should burn the wood cut in 1-2 seasons thereafter.
Its you neighbor's fault that you hit his rack ... wood burners pffft

Yeah at this point it's so expensive that it's pretty much comparable to propane and not a whole lot better than electric strip heat. Fortunately I have enough coal left over from last year to last me another season but if prices don't improve after that I'm going to have to look for another supplier probably switch to either wood or bituminous as Tractor Supply is the only anthracite supplier in my area.

My supplier lowered their price $20/ton to $330, compared to last season. Not great but better than nothing.

I got my coal from BT Ent. this year...they seemed to have calmed down their delivery charges this season. The coal is whispering to me when I sleep
