Making sure Im not missing anyone my normal coal guy wont be able to make the 70mi one way trip anymore so Im shopping vendors in my area (Medina County)... Seems a bit scant I believe the only one is Coalway in AppleCreek theres a guy in Akron sells Reading which Im not too keen to buy... Am I missing a mom an pop somewhere who may have anthracite???? Sure wish I was closer to PA Id just go to Sherman!!!

Thats Bitty coal though not anthracite... I was able to snag some Ohio bitty from a friend who's dad had a pile out back for a few years... It's a sooty smelly coal full of volitiles... You can only add a few small pieces at a time even with good over fire air... It does get hot but it lays down stringy black soot all over the inside of the stove and pipe..... A hot wood fire gets rid of it but long term I don't know how good it would be.... Definitely not anthracite...

They used to have anthracite delivered. Also had the good Eastern Kentucky Bit which burns real clean compared to other bit. Not quite anthracite but mighty close.
