In you pics it looks like you have a wood floor. The stove cannot sit on a combustible surface.

Bon Jour Mon Ami.

If the stainless is thick enough that should be fine.
The stove flue breech is male and the stove pipe attached to the breech is a tight female connection.
If the pipe is not tight you need stove gasket rope to seal the joint and to also use the Permatex high temperature
gasket sealant over the joint in a thick bead using a disposable latex glove to spread it.

Be sure to pick up a tube of Permatex red high temperature gasket sealer to help seal the stove pipe joints.
