I was wondering if anyone on the forum knows if Blashack uses a
Menzies Cone to clean the coal they reclaim?

Yes they do. Their breaker is located about a mile west of Mahanoy City. They also have several strip mine operations including a major one about a mile east of Mount Carmel. They are moving a tremendous amount of overburden at this operation to extract coal from the mammoth vein which is the largest anthracite vein in PA. Because the depth of the pit is well below the contour of the valley they also have to pump water from the pit after heavy and/or consistent rainfall. I live a 1/2 mile away on the mountain above this operation and walk in the vicinity on a regular basis. The company has pictures and some videos of what is truly a "Mammoth Operation" on their facebook page----under the Mt. Carmel operation. Since I have a ringside view when walkin I can post some pics on this site if interested-----it really is impressive. And once the coal is removed it has to be trucked to their breaker which is about 18 miles away where it is processed using the heavy media system. Their bagging plant is located a short distance from the breaker.
