It looks like my coal is cost me at less 20% more this year then last year. I can save some money by picking it up my self. But this isn't good. What are you seeing?

Mine is up 39%... Bulk was $190 last year, $265 as of April 4th. I did get 6 tons before the latest price increase which should get me through next winter but it was $235 so still much more than last year

Didn't see an increase yet...
Same price for the last few years $170 per ton at the breaker.

Mine went up $15 to $250 which isn't terrible considering everything that's going on.

You have to be in the anthracite are of NEPA. I get mine from Superior Preparation, it's about 6 miles from where I live. If you are far away the hauling is what raises the price.

I thought my retirement was permanent, but after looking at the escalation of those prices I may have to reconsider!

Just got some coal yesterday. $195 ton. My hauler gets it cheaper and only charged me $200 a ton delivered last Oct. Same as the year before. That is 450% cheaper than oil. Same amount of oil btus as a ton of coal is over $900 right now. With oil my heat would have cost about $4200 this past winter instead of $900.

I get my coal from Harmony Breaker outside Mount Carmel. My hauler gets it from wherever i ask him to. Many yrs ago the coal from there was so hot i cracked a grate every year but not in the last 10 yrs or so.

Thanks. I may see about an 18 wheel load. I know one that may be idle right now.
