I think the owner of Superior bought Sherman's, same price. I'll take it but don't know how long it will last because all costs for them are going up.pintoplumber wrote: ↑Sat. Pinto where is that at exactly. I’m just outside Lititz in Manheim, I grew up in Lititz. My guy is up to 279 a ton delivered. (Was 198 before) He says he has to go to Blashak because Lehigh wont sell to the little guy right now.

The Hegins exit off 81. About a half a mile on the right. About 45 miles one way for me.

Was it Garman’s? I ran out one year and bought 2 ton there. Thought it was expensive.

No not Garmans. They are always high like you said. This was Jay Sensenig up in Denver. That’s a great price per ton right now but with diesel at 6.29 a gallon and renting a trailer I’m prob no better off picking up myself

I sure hope not! Everytime I've gone to superior it's been fluff! Just went up to Sherman's on Friday and got 3 ton (2 trips) and it was $170 (in his words 'for now') . The last time I got coal there midwinter it was as good as the Blaschak I was burning. Hard to tell in the warmer weather whether this batch is as good but I'll take my chances. I'm only down the hill about 9 mi from Sherman's..Blashchak is a good 40 minute drive

Just called Garmans 6/6/22 and $285 rice bulk delivered.
I was pleasantly surprised and asked for 4 ton delivered. They should be able to deliver tomorrow morning.
I paid $260 last time back in January (now 10% increase)
I imagine they dont know about the increases and wont know until they restock next time. Glad they are not gouging atm.
I normally just bag it during summer for hot water but hey never know.
Tractor Supply is out everywhere. Gonna hit up a $7 for a 50lb bag locally and start stocking my garage.
I go thru about 8 ton during winter and another 2 ton during summer/shoulders.
I am currently bone dry out.

Not speaking for Goodprophets, but sounds like he runs a stoker boiler year-round. I use 4 tons nut per winter in a handfired, heating 3/4 of a two story 1800 sq. ft. Could use more some years. For quite a few years, I heated 2 different homes with stoker boilers, run year round. One did about 8 tons a year for one fl. The other 9 tons per year for a 3 story. That was nearly all with high BTU old co. Lehigh Greenwood. Most of today's rice would be a lot higher consumption figure.
