I can't claim to be an expert on this but it looks like coal is currently at $410 a ton on the commodity market. Am I the only one worried about this?

Ah yes,
The futures market will scare the pants off you and then take your skivvies while you are
still looking then take your socks while leaving your shoes on your feet leaving you to walk home
with blisters.
When futures traders are betting/buying on commodities like pork bellies steel, rubber and the like
they are gambling and it all depends on the economics of demand and supply in the marketplace.
You have to be willing to lose 2+ times the value of a futures trade that you buy at the days price.

Well FOC thx to you I just ordered another TT load of rice. This money came out of my coal budget which does not exist yet. I just know there will be big increases in prices before next winter and I need to stay warm. Price increases .. of course but still the best deal in town. I know trucking will kill me

Lee, he made that comment back in March you know. Pretty profound I’d say.

I don't think it's going to calm down until the war is over. I was just checking the commodity market and coal is at $385. The low was back in Aug. at around $150. As soon as the tanks rolled in Feb. it was out of sight.
