I was wondering if anyone knows where some of the suppliers in Hazleton-Wilkes Barre area purchase their coal from.

Streits Coal
Mengle Coal
Chervy Coal
Sword Coal
Any others not listed?

Thank you..

Thank you. Idlorah.

My neighbor is now using them with good results.

Have you used any other suppliers in the area?

Not a problem, I have used only 3 suppliers in the area. I burn Buck sized coal. I pick up myself usually 3-4 ton at a time.

Direnzo coal outside of pottsville--had to change to mengles dues to them being out of stock but they had good quality and a good price as well.

I use Mengle now-- good quality and good price as well.

I use Kens plumbing in south Tamaqua for bagged nut coal for my hand fired Gibralter stove, I only run it on cold days. They have very clean quality bagged nut coal. They also sell bulk rice and nut.

I did try American premium coal in south Tamaqua last year. (they are usually the cheapest around) I may have gotten a bad batch compared to all of the others I know who use them but it was extremely dirty full of chunks of wood and fines. I never decided to go back.

Hope this helps.
