I started burning the magic black rocks on Saturday after replacing the koker stoker motor and I have seen a much greater
heat coming from this years bagged Blashack rice coal.
I have been backing the stoker off gradually but it continues to reach almost 200 degrees and we are dumping heat in the house which is fine I just wanted to see if any of you have found the same conditions in burning.
Thanks much,
Leon

The feed rate should be adjusted to meet the BTU needs of the house, with the air to match, and the draft checked as well. If your boiler still overheats you need to modify the timer cycle.
1 minute every 15 minutes is where I would start.

Hello Rob,
Draft is fine, I have kept the hold fire timer running the same as I want to avoid the outfires that I had to deal with previously.
The temp is back down to where I want it to stay for now as I have the stoker at 10 threads out.
