I got my load in right before a price increase. If fuel prices ever come down, I'm planning on having another load brought in to supplement this one. It's my energy hedge bet -- I can burn it to heat my shop and house and it was bought at about the same cost per btu as my natural gas prices this winter, which jumped from $0.60 to $0.80 per therm already...and it's not even cold yet. I think we'll be burning the fireplace a lot more this winter to supplement the gas furnace.
I used to live on the west coast, and gas was $3 per therm there (probably $5 now), so it could always be worse!
Coal sources in and around the Idaho area?

I'd love to be looking at a load like that. Nice sized chunks! Congrats!

It's supposed to be around 11% ash, which I think is probably about right. I wish I could get my hands on some New Zealand bituminous that has 1% ash...I'd never have to empty the ash pan again!
