On the 10th had 2 tons for $570 delivered by "Werley Energy" formally F.M. Browns Reading PA. Took me by surprise this delivery, my mistake in not asking the price before hand, I expected a slight price increase but not $50 a ton delivered. So it looks like I have to take the cap off the truck for next load and pick it up myself.

There are other coal dealers that deliver to Berks county. FM browns was the highest in 2017 when i moved down here and set up the coal heat in the house.

Yea I know, large price increase.
I usually just go to the yard with my pickup, no delivery charge, but I have a different truck now and it has a cap on it ... but not for long...

Just got back from Sherman coal with another 3 tons of pea. They haven’t budged on their prices. Still 170 a ton. So far it’s burning just as good as any of the other coal I have burned.

The cheapest I am finding is $335 a ton ( nut/bagged) plus delivery. It is killing me. I will be paying $140 less this year for 3 tons then I did last year for 4 tons. Anyone know of cheaper in Southwestern CT?

I only buy Long Tons. I only use Blashak. I spend about $389/Long Ton.. ( 60 bags) wrapped on a pallet.
That price is the Long ton pallet loaded in my HD Pick up. Its about 7 miles from my house which is on the Maine Border. He sells for 325/Ton ( takes 10 bags off a long ton pallet)

Here in western PA, just had 1.5 tons delivered at $245/tn delivered. About 30-40 mins and a mountain between me and the coal yard.
Harper & Gallo in Ebensburg (Nanty Glo) is now B&F Supply as the next generation (who have been there for years) take over the business. Let's encourage these young men and their families to continue the coal supply tradition!

They have Reading and Lehigh. I've had better results with Reading, which could be my settings. This year we are using less coal so far with the 2T coal from November. Had some warm days and used some propane for mild days.

I’ll have to insulate this year. I’ve managed to avoid it for 20 years finding cheap ways to heat. There just isn’t any cheap way now. I can’t afford to keep paying $378 a ton to heat my house. If I can cut my use in half it will be much less painful.

Used Pagnotti in prior years. Looking at 170-180 ton bulk TT load. Plus shipping (probably around $30 ton)
Came across a nearby merchant who said coal wasn't selling well this year and wanted the space and capitol for spring merch and sold it to me at his cost (thank fully summer 2021 price) for some goofy brand i'd never heard of. burns fine so far.
