Just called Agel Coal Delivery in Scranton for the "Summer Fill Up Special" (-$10 a ton) and they said that Reading Coal is not going to have it this year.

I usually get at least 5-tons rice and sometimes a second 4-tons load at $180 per ton.

Damn Corona!!!

Yes, time to look for a new supplier.

Agel coal is iffy sometime. I think when they get busy, late in the winter and run out of Reading Coal, they go to the Hudson Breaker. And the Hudson Breaker is very poor coal, but Agel doesn't tell you that they substituted. So it's kind of a bait and switch. I got a bad load at the end of the season 2017-2018.

And the Hudson Breaker is very poor coal,
Hudson actually had a good product most of the time when I was delivering it. It was sold and renamed Susquehanna Anthracite. I have no idea what the quality is now.

Last year they were closed and unfortunately i think they are this year also. The two or three years before they closed they had extremely high quality coal. I was burning their nut and stove size in my warm morning hand fed and i was getting very impressive burn times with it. I think they were mining it from their Glen Lyon property.
