- Stoker Coal Boiler: Gentleman Janitor GJ-5, Van Wert VA-600, Axeman Anderson130 X3.
- Hand Fed Coal Furnace: Harman SF3500 reduced down to 3 grates connected to its own plenum
- Coal Size/Type: Rice, Chestnut and whatever will fit through the door on the Harman
- Other Heating: Noth'in but COAL! Well, Maybe a little tiny bit of wood
Pretty hard to tell but, there is some big pieces that could be Stove. There are also smaller pieces that look like Pea. Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to be well sized. If it was moved around a lot it might have started out as Stove and went down from there.
Are you sure it's Anthracite? It doesn't look very shiny.

Thanks... Not sure the history. I think I see leaves in there ... maybe it's been kept outdoors?? My best guess is it's a mix but again not sure how/why it is what it is.

It could be Range coal, which is a mix of 2 or more different sizes. Range coal was usually less expensive because it didn't need to be sized well.
Yup, there are a bunch of leaves in with it. If it was cheap (or free) and close by, I would go get it, if you can burn it in your stove.

It's customary to put something like a pack of Camels or a dollar bill (a C note if you want to showboat) for size reference. That would help gauge the actual size. I have similar load all pea, a few leaves, twigs and acorns add a little zest to the experience.
