with all the mine bankruptcies going on, which is caused by what... demand no doubt, nothing nefarious i can imagine....whats the word on this affecting the supply of anthricite, will it disappear from being sold...

Almost all are bituminous mines. Anthracite won't be affected by powerplant change overs and shutdowns as most of it goes to home heating.

just wondered....I expect it to really hit whole industry... how many are open pit , and how many are underground.

Around here the deep mines are running wide open lots of coal being trucked currently bit coal that is.
